Yesterday I held a copy of Toronto’s first punk record. So rare, people questioned its existence. Crash n Burn, 15 Duncan St.

A combination of acquisitions from Painkiller, Sorry State, Grave Mistake, Rotate This, Beach Impediment, Sam Sutherland and Printorium.
You’ve got HHIG’s “Fifteen Counts of Arson” (was listening to “Monument to Theives” and “The Plot Sickens” LPs last week so this was a necessary pick up), the Limp Wrist LP, Prisoner Abuse LP and World War 4 demo, a copy of US presses of the Lower and Deformity 7” slabs, along with the US press of the latest Desperat 7”, the Shoxx demo and the new No Tomorrow and No Sir I Won’t 7”s. On top of that I scooped the October MRR (looking forward to the Effluxus & Brain Tumors interviews), the General Speech omnibus (which so far, I am enjoying thoroughly), and Sam’s much anticipated “Perfect Youth” covering the birth of Canadian Punk Rock. Lots of reading to do.
Additionally, some folks in Toronto need to start carrying MRR again now that the distribution got all fucked up… Or I need to pony up for a subscription.
Ps. Check out those Not Dead Yet flyers. Tell your friends, it’s going to be an awesome weekend FILLED with hardcore.

Latest package, compliments of Feral Ward. Ilegal LP, which is definitely a contender for LP of the year, along with the new Arctic Flowers 12” and 7”s from Desperat, Mülltüte (x2) and a “reissue” of the legendary Indigesti/Wretched split. Makes me wish I could read Italian.

Came home to cassette versions of some of the greatest pop-punk (and I mean that in the best way possible) ever released.
